Zirconia Toughened Alumina (ZTA) is high purity alumina mixed with zirconia, making a tougher, stronger material.

Zirconia Toughened Alumina:

• Combines the advantages of partially stabilised zirconia (PSZ) and of alumina
• Almost as hard as alumina
• Almost as strong as PSZ
• From 3 to 10 times more abrasion resistant than high purity alumina.
